How often do you think about getting older?

I was working at a local high school a few days ago and, as I walked down the hallway preparing to leave the building, I encountered a young, strong teenage boy confidently making his way down the hall before quickly descending the stairs.

When you feel like there’s nowhere else to go. When you feel like you are being attacked from all sides. When you feel like you can’t fight anymore… Don’t stand still. Go forward.

He guided me all the way to the chicken’s door and stopped. He knew where I was supposed to be.

This observance came from Psalm 34:8 - O taste and see that the Lord is good. How blessed is the man who takes refuge in Him.

God loves hearing from His kids. I’m sure he even chuckles at them some times.

Whose yoke are you wearing? Whose burden are you bearing? Yeshua says, “Take my yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.”

Why should we be quick to hear, slow to speak and slow to anger?

Sometimes the most faithful thing we can do is stop… lay the burden down…. and rest in His presence.

I spent the weekend cleaning up a fence row - and it turned into a quiet lesson on faith. Because what we tend early doesn’t overgrow… and some work takes a lifetime.
